Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 September 2026 · applies to the hosted service at signalapi.dev
The service. Signal at signalapi.dev is a hosted instance of the open-source Signal project (AGPL-3.0). It is currently free while it is young. If paid plans arrive, existing users will be told clearly and in advance; self-hosting remains free and unlimited forever under the license.
Your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and API tokens. Keep tokens secret; revoke them in the product the moment you suspect a leak.
Acceptable use. Test APIs you own or are authorised to test. Do not use Signal — including its scheduler, parallel runs or mock server — to attack, overload or scrape systems that are not yours. We may suspend accounts that do, and rate limits may apply to keep the service healthy for everyone.
Your data. Your collections, flows and results stay yours. We claim no rights over them beyond what is needed to operate the service (storing and processing them on your instruction). See the Privacy Policy for what is stored and what leaves the service only on your say-so.
Availability. The service is provided as-is, without an SLA, while it is free. We care about uptime (Signal tests itself, publicly), but scheduled runs may be delayed and maintenance windows happen. Keep an export or a self-hosted mirror of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid for it — currently nothing. Test results are an aid, not a guarantee that your API is correct.
Termination. You can delete your account at any time, which deletes your data. We may terminate accounts that break these terms, with notice where practical.
